Melody Hart

TwoFiddlers.com - Melody Hart and Wayne MassengaleMelody took a summer job at Dogpatch U. S. A. and made her way to Branson in 1989. She joined the Plummer Family, and almost overnight “I was working everywhere”!

Melody eventually came to the attention of Grand Country producer , Mike Patrick, who jumped at the chance to hire Melody for the Down Home Country show several years back. She also performs in Raiding the Country Vault at the Starlite Theater. Not only does she get to sing and play the fiddle alongside her husband Wayne Massengale, she also gets to celebrate the music that shaped her into the performer she is today. “This is what I consider real country music and you can’t hear country music like that anymore,” she said. “It’s good stuff and I enjoy it because of the feeling you get from those songs. I count my blessings everyday I get to do that show.”

What is it like working side by side with Wayne everyday? “He’s wonderful, he really is,” she said. “We both do our own thing at work, but it does have its perks. You know, I can have him tune my fiddle for me and things like that.” Melody and Wayne have two sons, Garrett and Dillon. When she isn’t on stage Melody can be found relaxing at home at home with her boys and dogs. “I’m really boring,” she said with a laugh, “But we are very happy!”
